In this tutorial we will share with you everything you need to know to make Essene Bread with Rye and Spelt grain in the traditional way, which is purely sprouts and water, nothing else.

We share our hard earned knowledge of the needs of each type of grain and how to work with it to make good bread.

We have broken it down into 6 short video tutorials, and  PDF notes you can download and print.

We will also be available to answer any questions you have as you go on this journey of making your own nutrient dense Essene Bread for yourself and your family.




This ancient bread making technique is over 2,000 years old and we hope by making the knowledge available to anyone who wishes to take the time and effort to learn it we can keep this ancient tradition from being lost to antiquity.

We do believe the technique may be adapted to other grains like barley and sorghum but this was not possible for us to pursue. We hope others might take it up as we find our traditional crops becoming harder to source.


We are offering Rye and Spelt grain for purchase to support those in New Zealand who wish to make their own, but please if you are not in New Zealand you will need to source a local supply.  Grains are irradiated to stop them sprouting when imported from other countries so you will need to source a local supply and test it before you buy too much.
