Our spray free damson trees produced a large crop this year so we made Damson Vinaigrette.  I call it that even though it has no oil in it because it can be used the same way.
 
Made with Apple Cider Vinegar, Damson plums and sugar.
 
This damson vinaigrette gives a tangy sweet flavor to anything you add it to.  Just like tamarillo the damsom plum is tart not sweet making it a great flavor to accompany most dishes.
 
Use it as a salad dressing, drizzle over vegetables or seafood, add it to slow cook dishes.
